Today is national zelfs day, hooray. 

This gives a collectors a chance to find out more about their favorite zelfs and help new people discover the zelfs! There will be tons of fun activities going on to today including giveaways :) So check out the national zelfs day website for more info.

Contest entry for requiem arts back to school competition :)

Hello again dear readers,

Today I'm posting about my entry for requiem arts back to school doll contest :) 

This is my pullip doll Alice, I have been unhappy about her wig and clothing for a while and as a result I didn't play with her as much as I would like. :( 

 

When I saw Requiem arts contest it gave me the motivation to get started. 

I really needed a new wig so I thought to make my own, I went for a pullip papain style of wig.

Firstly I made my own wig fibre by brushing out some wool/yarn

It took about 2 hours.

Then I spent a good while removing all tangles from my wig fibre.

Next was the wig cap first I carefully cut up a sock and sewed it together this took. About 30 minutes. Once I had my wig cap made I wrapped my doll in plastic put the wig cap on and began to apply the wig fibre with glue. 1 hour 30 minutes later I had a wig :) 

 Whilst that was drying I set to work on her outfit.

I made a little jumper dress from a sock and then proceeded to sew tiny cute little pom-poms on it.

This took me another hour and a half.

 And then she was done :)  

I'm so happy with how it came out and Alice gets played with a lot more as a result of this.

toy haul :) in the USA

a few weeks ago i went to the USA on holiday :)

there i was able to find toys that i couldn't find /were very expensive in my home town.

here is my haul and a peek at the items i brought home !

 while at toys r us times square i was lucky enough to find an ultra rare zelf i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw her on the shelf :) her name is pearleen and she is an angelic mermaid zelf, too cool .

i also got  royal P  the peacock zelf too :) 

 i was also over joyed to find these tiny monster high mega bloks figures :) they are so tiny and adorable i just had to pick up the whole collection ;}

 i got these little studio pets figures on sale for $2 at claires accessories and thought they would make brilliant pets for my dolls :)

on to the my little ponies !

 i got four really cheap ponies from walmart to customize, how they shall be customized is a secret... 

at least for now ;) 

 i got a lyra heartstrings and a  toys r us exclusive rainbow dash as i have wanted these figures for a while but was unable to find them  in my home country. 

 i also got a cupcake keepsake derpy hooves figure as it was adorable and derpy is my favorite pony :)

 these funko pop figures of my favorite comic book/disney

 characters were too adorable to resist :) ...

 as was this sailor moon figure 

 i got these disney dolls on a crazy clearancedeal for just $5 each :) which was awesome as i have wanted some of these charcters for a while .

 i got a gorgeous make it mine doll from the mim website :)

 the 17" monster high doll goolipe jellington, who is absolutely amazing, was brought for me by my aunt (thank you if you are reading ) 

i also got this rilakumma plush and an adorable Artemis plush from sailor moon :) 

so that wraps up  my haul look out for a new post about my trip up soon :)

i have recently returned from a holiday in the United States, New York and New Jersey to be exact, which obviously was very exciting for me but should also be exciting for this blog and it's readers. This is because I will write special posts relating to my trip and have managed to obtain toys to review which i have not been able to do so at home.

Monster high custom frankie stein :)

recently i have been working on a custom monster high doll. i used ghoul spirit Frankie stein doll as my base.  her face up is done using airbrush paint, acrylics and chalk pastels. her hair is fully re rooted in nylon and hand curled. i went for a sweet lolita dolly look and think she came out adorable :)

super,ultimate,mega Zelf review:)

hi today it is time for my way over due zelf review .I have been slowly gathering Zelfs over the past couple of months adding them to the pile and saying "I will review these when I have the time " and after moving into my craft room, selling my handmade products at craft fairs and custom doll/pony work I finally have time. And it's about time too as I now have SEVEN zelfs to review in one post ( yes I probably could have split this into multiple posts but that would lead to further procrastination and saying " I will review when I have the time " :} ) to keep this post short I will not go into quite as much detail as usual, without further a do lets get reviewing :)

 here they all are in box(apart from zelicious flitter) for our review i will start with the mediums 

 here is flare, the phoenix zelf and cindy-moo,the cow girl zelf. they each come with a comb,hair clip and collectors leaflet. i love flare's bright bold colouring they compliment each other so well :)

cindy-moo is totally cute too :) i do wish her hat was a little larger though.

next is the zelicous zelfs:

 first is cheeky tiki the Hawaiian tiki zelf. he smells like vanilla :)  

 he comes with a bongo drum and seat made from a leaf its adorable  ;)

 now we have flitter the dragonfly zelf !

 i love the bright colours on flitter. the pineapple scent is really authentic;it smells just like the real fruit :)

 here is the drink stand that is included in the set, i think i looks like a DJ booth but oh well  ;}

 i will now review the three large zelfs i have each one comes with a brush,two hair clips and a collectors leaflet.

first up is the adorable baabara the sheep zelf. 

i love her droopy ears and pink accents. she has some cool gold strands in her hair :) 

next up is Sheldon the Neptune zelf. I find this interesting as a Neptune is not a thing but a Greek god this is not necessarily a bad thing just interesting. 

 here he is i love his crown and fins :)

 here is a shot of his super cool glittery tail :)

finally its snowflake the snow bunny zelf !

 i love the beautiful soft air bushed colours and super detailed snowflakes.

 snowflake is the first zelf not to be barefoot she has fluffy boots :)
