Arwen, the makie, in Stratford upon Avon

recently I went on a day trip to Shakespeare's birth town Stratford upon Avon, accompanying me was one of my "bestest " buddies, who for safety reasons will be know as BFF, and my ever faithful makie girl Arwen!
first BFF and I looked around the shops,I must say Stratford is a lovely place it's so clean and has some beautiful medieval architecture.
me and BFF cracked up when we saw these books- if Shakespeare had wrote star wars ;)
Our favourite was " the Jedi doth return " just look at that Tudor style jabba the hut !
Next we discovered an amazing collectors bear shop we spent ages looking around, the shop is called Curtis brae, they also have an online store too over here  !
There was a GIANT teddy bear out side the shop it was taller than me ! :)
I really loved this vintage style rabbit by steiff so adorable :)

Here are some more gorgeous steiff Bears
i find this little bear so playful and endearing
Not too familiar with this brand of bears but I really loved this bear he looks so sad you just want to take him home <3
if anyone is in Stratford upon Avon i would highly recommend checking out Curtis brae their shop is absolutely amazing ! i did make a purchase from curtis brae which i will show you at the end of the post :)
we also saw this really fun pop culture shop near curtis brae, unfortunately i cannot remember its name :}
it had some really cool funko pop figures, which i was very tempted by and some awesome D.C and marvel comics merchandise! :)
next BFF and I visited a beautiful park just outside the royal Shakespeare theater, it was gorgeous there were some buskers playing folk music which really set the mood :)

here is Arwen by some beautiful flowers just outside the theater, they bring out her coloring so well :)

here she is by the canal with some nosy geese behind her, i was worried they would jump out of the water and knock her over XD
you could rent a row boat to use on the canal, however me and BFF didn't  because we didn't have enough time and probably would have ended up stuck right in the middle of the canal just helplessly floating ;)
we took a rest by a tree the weather was lovely and sunny which was a bonus!
a trip to Stratford upon Avon wouldn't be complete with out a trip to the royal Shakespeare theater. we saw a staging of  Othello by the royal Shakespeare company , which was awesome and interesting, i would highly recommend it :)
in the interval we discovered an art exhibition, it was hundreds of paper boats made of foreign money, stamps and other travel items :)
here we are back home with a Hansa plush hamster i bought from curtis brae. he is so realistic and is appropriately named Othello to remind me of my trip.
BFF and i had an amazing time in Stratford upon avon  and would love to return sometime soon :)

Long time no post- saturdoll showcase- sailor Venus

it has been a few weeks since I last posted as i have been super busy moving all my craft gear into my new craft room. For that I apologise and I should be getting into a regular posting schedule soon.
Today I am showcasing my really cool irwin toys sailor Venus doll, from the anime sailor moon.
Sailor moon is my first anime and is still one of my very favourites. I picked up my sailor Venus from  a comic convention a few months back when I was cosplaying as the same character. I really love my mini sailor scout and she is a fun momento to remind me of the fun I had at the convention.

Hello again, today's post is showcasing my pullip collection .
I will (eventually figure out how to) put this on a separate page on this blog soon, I also have new doll coming to join my girls but more on that in a a later post ;)
Now let me introduce my girls:

Here they are ! I don't keep any of my dolls in their stock outfits and this is what they usually wear, however I do change their outfits periodically :)

I added names to the same photo so when I talk about how they are connected to each other you won't get too confused ;}

Here is the family tree so you can see how they are/aren't related! I hope it isn't too confusing :) Yuki is the new girl who you will meet in an upcoming post !

Lalaloopsy girls- Bea spells a lot

a new review !! but first let me introduce you to my best buddy and blogging novice random observations by me <3 check out her awesome blog here. raobbymes's post are full of rants, fun and downright nerdy-ness.
 we <3 you raobbyme !

onto the review today i am reviewing Lalaloopsy girls- Bea spells a lot !
lalaloossies are plastic rag dolls made by MGA
i have always loved the handmade cuteness of lalaloopsies and now they come in fashion doll size :)
oh MGA you know how to get a girl to buy a doll !!
here she is
front of box
back of box
now lets look at her accessories: she comes with a set on pajamas(more on them later)
the handle of the box turn into a hair bow; so cute
a hair comb, i love the little character on top
and Bea's adorable pet owl, named owl obviously !
here's the back of owl
and some cute pencil shaped hair clips
now lets look at the doll herself: she comes wearing with a non-removable hair bow
here is her face and AMAZING glasses !!!!!!!! i actually have a pair similar to this ;)
here is her school girl inspired outfit ; she is sewn from a shcool uniform afterall !
and cute sneakers
there is a cool design on the soles
her birthday is printed on her pink pants
here she is modelling her PJs (she can't hold owl on her own i had to use elastic beads to get him to stay ;)!)
i LOVE <3 <3 <3 these pajamas they totally look like something i would wear :) i am a crazy math and science fan! what i can i say i love learning :)

a closer look at her PJ bottoms so adorable
one really 'cool' feature of this doll is that her hair changes colour in icy water!
the comb works well to separate out her plastic noodle like pig tails. the rest of her hair is molded plastic and doesn't change colour.
now time to colour change her hair!!!!!:
here you can see the colour difference the pink strands go much darker when dipped in the cold water the orange strands go slightly darker too though its not as dramatic
here is lalaloopsy girls bea spells alot next to the the original lalaloopsy version. bea has always been my favorite lalaloopsy character<3
final thoughts: love her so much. she poses well, looks adorable yet is really durable at the same time :)
all  bea's accessories compliment her nicely and would be useful during play, not to mention the pajamas I WANT A PAIR !!
on that note i shall leave you with some pics of the adorable miss spells alot :)
